We are farmers who, not only because of their love for beer, but also because of their long-standing presence in gastronomy, decided to restore the charm of the local, almost forgotten brewery in Nepomuk. The vision is to brew beer from quality ingredients, to deliver it to customers in the best quality and to be available not only in the Czech Republic. Together we started a family project in 2018 - the Golden Cow Brewery. We brew bottom-fermented and top-fermented beers and specials under the guidance of our brewer \u017daneta Petru\u017e\u00e1lkov\u00e1.<\/p>\nThe roots of the Zlat\u00e1 kr\u00e1va brewery go back to the second half of the 19th century, where the Turks' Brewery originally stood on this site. In 1938, the building even served as a bottling plant for the Pilsner brewery. We bought the dilapidated building from the original owner, Ferdinand Jiskra, who at the age of 84 oversaw the first batch of Zlat\u00e1 kr\u00e1va beer brewed. The semi-dark 13 Jiskra is now brewed in his honour.\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column December 2018, the renovated brewery, whose history dates back to 1876, opened to the public. The brewery, located under the Zelen\u00e1 hora castle, is dominated by a 1000l brewhouse. It also includes a chalet, a lounge and the original vaulted lager cellars and storerooms. Annual production is 2500 hl.
